I'm a little torn as to a 4 or 5 star review. The room was very, very nice and clean. We opted for including their breakfasts and one dinner. The dinner was downright outstanding though it wouldn't hurt to include a side dish. What we ordered and paid for was excellent. For this situation in a wine region, we'd like for them to offer the option of a corkage fee so we can bring and drink our favorite wines found in area wine tastings. I understand they'd like to sell their Luna wines in particular which I believe the same owners own. But it wasn't our favorite. (Your taste buds may differ.) The breakfasts had appropriate options but the hot items weren't even close to hot. Staff was nice enough to microwave when needed but that shouldn't be necessary. Neat to improve the heating pans. That all said, I'll give the benefit of the doubt and hit that 5th star mainly on the strength of the room.
Our family of eleven spent two nights staying at the Parehua Resort celebrating a special birthday. Our wonderful stay started with the friendly, efficient reception staff and continued throughout our stay.
The accommodation was outstanding and suited our large group perfectly. The manicured grounds added to the experience with mature trees, gardens and well set out for privacy.
The breakfast was substantial, tasty and varied. The dinner at the York suited all ages in our extended family group. and the service was outstanding.
Overall a great stay making many wonderful memories.
Good communication prior to our trip and a nice welcome on our arrival. We were delighted to be able to order our breakfast in our room in order to watch the Rugby. The hot tub was great however it was too hot at over 40' for me to stay in it for more than 5 minutes. We were informed that the temperature couldn't be lowered.
Very comfortable bed, good selection of pillows and a lovely bathroom. We made use of your heated pool which was a surprise to be swimming in October! Although quite pricey we would recommend your resort to anyone.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a clean & spacious room with great facilities & couldn’t find any shortcomings. Thank you very much. We’d love to rebook our room some day . It was a great start to the year staying with you on the first of January!
Had a lovely mini-break at Parehua. The cottages are well designed and spacious. Ours had a nice view over a lawn and lake. We couldn’t see other cottages or buildings so felt like we were the only ones there. We had a lovely dinner and …
Came across Parehua Martinborough Resort when looking for somewhere to celebrate our 23rd Wedding Anniversary.
What an absolutely lovely place to stay. The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and the room was a great size for us. The grounds are beautiful and we were lucky enough to have a Lake View room with its own balcony.
The onsite bistro (York Bistro) was a great place to dine. The food was first class and the staff were so friendly.
We can’t wait to go back, this time we will book a min of two nights.
We spent a couple of days here, in a Lakeside cottage. Well appointed accommodation, and comfortable open plan living space. Nice deck to sit out on in temperate weather. York bistro served us well, for dinner and breakfast. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Guest laundry on-site. Amenities for tennis, swimming and boche/boules.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here, and a marked difference from the first time. ||Firstly, how can you charge premium rates for a room and then charge separately for barista coffees? How cheap is this?||Secondly, they forgot to …
